WHO WE ARE

At 247 Church we are all about loving God and loving others. As an inter-denominational church it is a part of our DNA; we accept and embrace you just as you are. We are all united by our common faith in our Savior Jesus Christ. We believe that a daily part of our expression of worship is that we live out our faith together in community. Simply put, we are called into relationship with God and into relationship with our fellow believers. You are not alone, you were meant to walk out your faith journey with the support and friendship of your spiritual family.

As we endeavor to make room for God in our lives by putting Him first in all that we say and do, He draws us closer into relationship with Him and into unity with His family. This is how we fulfill our purpose and impact the world around us. “The world will know that you are mine by your love for one another” John 13:35. It is our hope that you will find that we are the spiritual community that you can count on to embrace and support you as together we grow in God’s love. May you find that when you are here, you are home!

Sincerely,
Joshua & Jena Pantuso

History

247 (twenty-four seven) Church, formerly Trinity Church, was originally established in 1964 by a group of 7 families who were seeking authenticity. They desired to have God use them to be the church in their respective families, neighborhoods, and communities. As they set their intentionality toward pursuing the heart of God and knowing His will for them, they sensed God leading them to plant a church. Dr. Bob Strauss, one of the founding members, secured the use of the Trinity University campus as a place of meeting, hence the name Trinity, and Trinity Church was born.

Over the years Trinity Church has changed locations and experienced powerful times of growth. Pastor Allen Randolph, former pastor of over 40 years, recounts that the greatest of these moments were the result of experiencing the Power of God’s presence in pure authentic worship. The impact of these encounters ignited a passion within the hearts to share God’s love and kindness as they opened their homes for fellowship, prayer, and worship and served their communities in love.

Upon Pastor Allen Randolph’s retirement, after many years of service as youth pastors and later associate pastors, Scott & Lori Olson were placed in as the Lead pastors of Trinity Church. Although their love for the church was great, the call of God on their lives for missions could not be ignored. After much prayer and consideration, with the full support of the church, Scott & Lori answered the call of God and were sent as missionaries in 2018 where they continue to serve faithfully.

After a year of transition in seeking God’s direction for a Pastor, Joshua Pantuso & his wife Jena were selected by the board of elders, affirmed unanimously by the congregation and were appointed as the Senior Pastors on March 31, 2019. As part of this transition, the Trinity Church leadership sensed a need to adopt a new name that would identify with who they have always been and simultaneously speak to who they are called to be. On April 12, 2020 the new name 247 Church was revealed.

Core Values

At our core we are people united by our faith in Jesus and our desire to make a difference. We are imperfect people seeking the manifestation of His presence in our lives, knowing that it is the power of His presence that changes us from the inside out and empowers us to be His church, sharing the Good News of His love to the world around us 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

WORSHIP

At our core we are people united by our faith in Jesus and our desire to make a difference. We are imperfect people seeking the manifestation of His presence in our lives, knowing that it is the power of His presence that changes us from the inside out and empowers us to be His church, sharing the Good News of His love to the world around us 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

INTENTIONALITY

Lifestyle worship begins with Intentionality. Set your mind on things above…Colossians 3:2 Intentionality is the key to living like Jesus because it is making Jesus the object of our affection. Intentionality is choosing to love God with all of my heart, soul, mind and strength. It is being intentional about sharing His love with the world around me. Intentionality is believing that we were created on purpose, with purpose and for a purpose, and living like it. Make every moment count.

AUTHENTICITY

There is only one who is perfect. He is the genuine, authentic, original. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life…John 14:6. Our pursuit for authenticity is to know Jesus as we are known by Him. Authenticity is about relationship not religion. It is not about pretending to be perfect, it is about being genuine. Authenticity is letting Jesus shine through us by yielding to him. Authenticity is real, honest relationship. No pride, no religion. Be genuine…not perfect. Philippians 3:7-14.

KINDNESS

Love is kind. Jesus said, love your neighbor as yourself. Our love for God must be expressed to the world around us in tangible ways. Jesus said, the world will know that you are mine (that you belong to me) by your love for one another. The golden rule is love in action. Kindness is a fruit of the Spirit. As we allow God’s love to transform us at our core, the Holy Spirit expresses that same love to the world around us in the from of kindness. Be kind to one another. Ephesians 4:32.

SERVANT LEADERSHIP

As followers of Jesus we are called to Lead the world around us to Him by serving. The one who is a leader in God’s kingdom is a servant. Matthew 20:26 Love Serves! Servant leadership is understanding that as children of God we have a responsibility to the world around us. The resources of God’s kingdom are for the healing of the nations. Only the one who has can give. Freely we have received, freely we give. As leaders we serve. Galatians 5:13…serve one another in love.

COMMUNITY

When Jesus left this earth, He established the church as His community to represent his presence and the authority of His kingdom on this earth. Together we are empowered to be Jesus to the world. Together we are united under the banner of His love. Together we can release the power of heaven’s presence over the nations as we worship our King Jesus. We are stronger together because together we are His church fulfilling the great commission 247. Acts 2:42-47.
